FAQ Series: How Much is a Home from Baird?

With so many differing opinions and processes, you may ask yourself “How much is a home from Baird?”

The short answer is that it’s hard to set the price on a home that includes the whole process, not just the home alone.

We broke down the “long answer” so that you can get a better idea before jumping into the home-buying journey.

Base Price

The first contributing factor to pricing is the base price of the home.

This is where the majority of your budget will be spent.

Price per square foot, structural upgrades, and interior customizations are all factors when mapping out the base price of a home.

You may view a home at one of our Sales Centers whose list price is $100,000 with no additional customizations.

You have decided to order that same floor plan but add the upgraded Glamour Bath Package and exterior siding.

The new price of your upgraded home could come out to a total of $105,000.

When walking through the process, our Home Consultants define and explain the accumulation of upgrades and pricing to help you stay within your budget.

Everything Else (other than the home)

What many forget is that after you purchase the home itself, that is only the beginning of the journey.

After the purchase:

  • Freight/Delivery
  • Land Clearing
  • Foundation
  • Utilities (septic, well, electricity)
  • Permitting
  • Final Close-up

If it seems like a lot, and if you’re on a tight budget, you’re welcome to get quotes from other companies to compare pricing with our contractors.

But if it’s all too overwhelming, we’ve got a contact for everything!

We’ve been in the industry for quite some time, so we have an arsenal of connections so you can rest assured knowing you’re being well taken care of.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We do everything we can to help you stay on track with your budget; however, it’s important to keep in mind that anything can happen.

Many forget that mother nature has a mind of her own and sometimes outside elements work against our plans, no matter what our desired timeline is.

Whether that be a well collapse, an outdated plat map, or constant bad weather prolonging the process, we will do our best to accommodate the challenges that arise.

Our Home Consultants are always eager to help solve problems as quickly and painlessly as possible!

We hope you have a better understanding of what goes into buying a manufactured home and more specifically, a Baird Home.
